3 things your farts are tellling you about your health (new article)

Farts can be a little embarrassing at times, but they are obviously a natural part of life and digestion.  Some people find them funny, and some people find them gross, but they're all a part of natural digestion.  In today's guest blog from my friends at TheAlternativeDaily, they'll look at what causes farts, and what those farts might be telling you about your health... There are some things that remain unchanged from child to adulthood — and giggling when you toot is one of them. Whether you blame it on the dog or your husband, passing gas is a normal bodily function. However, is it possible to fart too often? Are your daily farts trying to tell you something? If you have noticed that you’re overly gassy lately, here’s what you need to know. What are farts, anyway? The average person farts nearly every day, so what is it that we’re passing? Also known as “flatulence,” a fart is simply an internal build-up of gas. More specifically, farts are made up of nitrogen,...

Is there a cure for insulin type 2 diabetes? Has anyone been cured?

Yes. Type II diabetes can and has been reversed. We recently helped a lady whose starting hg-A1C was 8.9. She was taking metformin. In less than 3 months, her A1C was down to 5.8 and she no longer needed medication. How? We helped her do 3 things: Eliminate added sugar and sweeteners. Swap refined grains for whole grains. Increase her fiber and nutrient by swapping processed foods for more vegetables, beans, legumes, nuts and seeds - real, whole food. Why does this work? It comes from switching to a diet that is low in insulin-spiking food. As other people have answered, type II diabetes arises from insulin resistance. This is when the body is unable to produce the insulin necessary to remove glucose from the blood. If however, we limit our intake of food that is quickly broken down by the body into glucose (and hence insulin-spiking) we are able to lower blood sugar (as measured by A1C) to a sustained level where medication is no longer necessary. The hard part is break...

What are the advancements in the treatments of diabetes?

Here are the advancements in the treatments of diabetes: 1. Brand new beta cells. Type 1 diabetes develops when a person's immune system wipes out insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. But it turns out that another type of immature beta cell has been hiding in our pancreases all along, and scientists think it might be possible to use these 'virgin beta cells' to restore the functionality of the pancreas. 2. A preventative vaccine. Finnish researchers are about to embark on the first-ever clinical trial for a type 1 diabetes prevention vaccine. While it's not a cure for those who already have the condition, a successful vaccine could potentially prevent thousands of cases each year, as the vaccine targets a virus linked with the development of an autoimmune reaction in the pancreas. 3. A unique transplant. One woman with severe type 1 diabetes has spent a year without insulin injections thanks to an experimental transplant. Doctors implanted insulin...

Why the ketogenic diet SUCKS

The ketogenic diet is taking the diet industry by storm because of how wildly effective it is at torching unwanted body fat fast... no arguing that fact.  BUT, you probably also heard that in order for it to work, you have to eat close to ZERO carbs every day... and for most, that's a deal breaker. Almost every single diet works by temporarily putting your body into a state of ketosis. In this state, your body burns fat for energy instead of burning carbs and protein. But these diets ultimately fail because they allow too many carbs to be reintroduced, which flips your body’s source of energy from fat back to carbs. Want to force your body to always burn fat for energy — so you lose the fat and keep it off? Does The Hypnosis Bootcamp Really Work? An Unbiased Review

Hypnosis Bootcamp claim their at-home online hypnosis program can totally improve your life in any of five key areas in just one week. Outrageous claim or is this the real deal? Their site says that if you have 30 minutes a day, and an MP3 player, you have everything you need to lose weight, boost your confidence, increase brain power, make more money, or turn on The Law Of Attraction … all in only seven days. Sounds pretty far-fetched to me. So, to uncover the truth, I knew I had to check out the new Hypnosis Bootcamp series for myself. Hypnosis Bootcamp: The ‘No Holds Barred’ Review Begins… The Site: I headed over to the Hypnosis Bootcamp website at HypnosisBootcamp.com. First impression: They definitely know how to put a site together – it’s intuitive, professional in appearance, and easy to navigate. But, anybody can put lipstick on a pig. The proof was going to be in the pudding, as they say. Could they really deliver an at-home hypnosis pr...

Malaysia's parliament to be dissolved between Mar 28 to 30

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Parliament is likely to be dissolved on Mar 28, 29 or 30, making way for general elections that must be held by August, The Star newspaper said on Thursday (Mar 15) without giving any sources for the report. The newspaper noted that a report on new electoral boundaries is expected to be given to all Members of Parliament by next week, and may be tabled as early as Monday. A simple majority of 111 votes – with the number of lawmakers currently at 220 – is needed to have the proposal passed. The fact that the motion need not go through the Dewan Negara – which shortens the time to enforce the redelineation – is also another reason why political pundits are targeting the end of March, the newspaper reported. The Star said that another "giveaway" is that Barisan Nasional will unveil its manifesto on Apr 7. "While a manifesto can be launched anytime, it has been a practice by Barisan to do so after the dissolution," it said. Ad...

Diabetes Caused By Foods High In Sugar?

Is there a conclusive evidence that diabetes is directly caused by food that is high in processed sugar? No. That was never the underlying cause of any form of diabetes melitus (DM). There are several, discrete types of DM. I've listed a description of each type below along with their most common causes… Type I DM is caused by some pathology that destroys beta-cell function of the pancreas. The most common cause is autoimmune destruction following a viral infection in childhood. Type II DM is caused by insulin receptor insensitivity. The most common cause is weight gain which increases the volume and surface area of adipose tissue. This reduces the tissue's insulin receptor density. Fewer receptors per unit of cellular surface area leads to receptor insensitivity. Sedentary lifestyle also contributes as activity is required to sensitize insulin receptors on skeletal muscle. As type II diabetes progresses, it can lead to pancreatic beta-cell burn out, reducing the...
