How can you tell if you have diabetes? Alot of urinating, which obviously comes from water and or being thirsty to the point where your thirst does not get quenched. This has to do with the fact that your pancreas is not producing insulin as it should anymore (this is if a diagnosis by a doctor is given). For myself, I was 12 and I lost 10 lb in less than a month when I went to put on my new school clothes my pants fell right off of me. I was thirsty and I was peeing a lot. My friends mother asked my mom if I had ever been checked for diabetes, she said no and she explained the reason why she asked this question to my mom because I was drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot. I went in and had a blood glucose level of over 800 and the doctor said if I would have had anymore time I could have went into a coma and I probably should have been at that point.
