What is something most people misunderstand about being wealthy?

by Tara Chung, studied at Hofstra University I work for multimillionaires. You all have mentioned the usual trust issues. That’s the norm. Here are some things it took me too many years to understand, because multimillionaires are literally from another planet - planet money- so it’s not their fault. Anyway, here is the short list of the things working for multimillionaires taught me that helped me understand poor little rich people: Usually, if it exists, they can buy it. Including humans. But they are most frustrated when their money becomes useless. If there is something they want that their money can’t buy or change, they fe

Are Malaysians really as racist and intolerable to one another as the media portrays them to be?

By Iew Aij, Lived in Russia for half a decade | https://www.quora.com/ I am a Chinese born and bred in Kuala Lumpur in the most traditional Chinese way possible which means ass-whooping, flying slippers, getting if possible 100% in exams and eating with chopsticks. I am the 4th generation Chinese, and my great-grandfather who sailed here across the South-China-Sea to mine (back then he was mining tins, I wished he mined bitcoin) in what was known then as the Malay Peninsula. At the age of 7, I was enrolled to a national school in Malaysia (because the school is located directly opposite of my home, and it is more logistically available back then) , while most of my cousins were enrolled to schools that were conducted in their mother-tongue (Chinese). A national school meant that the school I was studying had a majority of 70% of Malay and 30% of other races. Things were fairly good in the beginning until I was 9 years old ( Year 3), when jokes started to be a little harsher a

What were your first symptoms of type 2 diabetes?

For many people diabetes will not produce any symptoms until they have a complication from long standing diabetes like neuropathy or nephropathy. But for other people symptoms like polyphagia (eating more), polydipsia (drinking more), and polyuria (increased urination), are the classic first symptoms of diabetes. Still in other people, diabetes is diagnosed with routine blood work when they are found to have high blood sugar. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes completely by accident. I was not obese, had a non-sedentary job and did not consider that I had a poor diet. I had some symptoms in retrospect that could be vaguely attributed to the onset of diabetes such as needing more fluid and being extremely tired. The tiredness I believed was due to my physical job as a care worker and the need for fluid I put down to the effects of my IBS. I found out by testing my blood sugar on my daughter’s blood glucose monitor. It was 3 times higher than it should have been. An HbA1c te
