10 Habits For Staying Fit

Many people ask me how I can be married to a French chef and not weigh a ton. I’ve actually lost 30 pounds since we met — with zero effort. This is true. We eat as much as we like. We try to exercise but don’t get to the gym often (Too busy!). We often indulge in pastries, and we love good wine and craft beer. Still, we are both fit and happy with our bodies, and we achieve this easily. People ask us all the time how we do it. It’s kind of a secret formula, if you will. And we want to share it with you. We can’t reveal it all (not enough space!), but here are our 10 Habits For Staying Fit: 1. Enjoy food.  Food is a lot of fun. We have family dinners. We bring variety to the dinner table and try new ingredients or cuisines. More importantly, we never restrict ourselves; life is too short for that. 2. Stay active.  Nothing strenuous! Just parking your car away from the grocery store, taking a walk with the kids after dinner, or taking the stairs instead of the elevat...

What are the best ways to lose weight?

The best way to lose weight totally depends on how you wanna do it. If you are seeking for a quick way to get into your dream shape, there are a ton of programs online today. But I have to say, there are some risks of trying to magically lose 10s of pounds of fat in a matter of weeks. So beware. However, the best way is, in my humble opinion, through healthy eating and sleeping habits as well as working out regularly. In this way you will not only be in a perfect shape, but also you will know that you live long, will take care of your grandchildren in the future and live overall happier life. 1. Be realistic. Effective weight loss requires personal honesty. “Make sure any changes you will make are realistic for you and your lifestyle,” Maxine Yeung, M.S., R.D., C.D.N., NASM-CPT and founder of The Wellness Whisk, tells SELF. That means don’t plan on cooking a healthy meal every night if you hate spending time in front of the stove. Instead, you might commit to cooking two nights...

Is a 2 Week Diet Really More Effective than a Difficult 6 Month Regimen?

New Research Shows that This Simple 14 Day Plan Burns 8 to 16 Pounds of Fat.  People who are overweight are up to 12 times more likely to develop diabetes . Think about that. If you don’t face up to your excess body fat, you’re walking around with a time bomb ticking in your body, just waiting to explode and ruin your life. And diabetes isn’t the only thing you have to worry about. Excess body fat can cause: ●      Aching joints, back pain, headaches , and more. Getting up in the morning is a painful experience, and the pain can last all day. ●      Chronic fatigue and exhaustion that makes it difficult to enjoy life. Worse yet, many people have trouble falling asleep as well. ●      Severe illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, depression, and even brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s . I know how hard it is to break the cycle. I was overweight for a long time. Heck, let’s j...

Permanently lose weight follow these simple guidelines

This is SHOCKING. Lose your weight at any age and restore your natural youth fitness by the use of an easy and effective diet plan like this one. This leading scientist is calling on the FDA to ban ALL diet products. Why? Because 95% of all people who go on diets fail.. and these diet products starve people, while making them feel insanely tired and slow... These products simply have NO PLACE on the shelves of America’s health food stores. Instead, the health experts are saying that people who want to permanently lose weight follow these simple guidelines (click here to see them now). By just following the simple steps inside the report I just linked you too... The these doctors and scientists claim people can lose pounds of body fat per week – without dieting, and without calorie counting. A very important point to understand is that the loss of lean body mass virtually guarantees the regain of any fat loss. This is the primer for ‘yo-yo’ dieting and the reason for t...

Best diet for weight loss

Is it possible to melt away one to two pounds of stubborn body fat every single day? It sounds insane, but according to the scientific proof — and the thousands who have already done it themselves using this secret — the answer is YES. You will never guess how it’s done... (Hint: It’s NOT about taking sketchy pills or killing yourself at the gym). That’s right – and it’s important to know that this isn’t about some “magic weight loss shake,” or the “calories out-calories in” model that the medical community has been trying to brainwash us with for decades. Not at all. It’s about a simple yet potent method developed and perfected by Brian Flatt - who is a health & nutritionist coach, and also a personal trainer who has been in the fitness world for over a decade. See what all the buzz is about here >>  Diet that REALLY make you lose weight Brian is also the owner of R.E.V. Fitness, a personal training facility based in Southern California... He is known...

HOW WE GET FAT

Modern medicine, weight loss “gurus” and so-call fitness “experts” have been telling us the same ol’ outdated, bogus advice for years “Losing weight is just a matter of eating less and exercising more” or “We get fat because we eat too much fat” These ideologies are better known as the “Calories In/Calories Out” and the “Fat Makes us Fat” theories that have been proven time and time again to be complete nonsense. These diets fail to take into account our bodies and how food is metabolized and take the easy way out by implying that anyone who is overweight is either eating too much fat or they’re just plain lazy. It points the finger at us and it refuses to acknowledge what science has already proven… Carbohydrates Make Us Fat I know…I know…you’ve probably heard that one before. Perhaps you even gave it some credence for a while. Maybe you’ve even tried a low-carb diet or the Atkins Diet (or something similar) but found it just wasn’t for you. Unfortunately…if you trul...

McDonald’s Puts Fresh Beef on the Menu

Burger giant swapping frozen beef patties for fresh ones in bid to please customers who want less-processed food. By May, quarter-pound burgers at McDonald’s restaurants in the contiguous U.S. will be made from fresh beef. The move to please customers who want less processed food will make supplying some 14,000 U.S. restaurants more complicated at a time when McDonald’s is also trying to position itself as the go-to chain for cheap breakfasts and sandwiches. In January, McDonald’s said changes to its value menu helped boost same-store traffic in 2017 for the first time in five years. McDonald’s is facing increasing competition from fast-casual chains such as Shake Shack Inc. and Smashburger Master LLC that have gained ground among customers willing to pay more for meals they see as higher quality. For the past two years, the fast-food giant has been working to win back fans of its most well-known products. “At the end of the day McDonald’s is a burger company, and there’s no ...

Which of these cooking oils are destroying your health?

Which of these cooking oils are destroying your health? (the truth may surprise you!) Some of these oils are healthy and some are VERY unhealthy -- soybean oil, olive oil, coconut oil, corn oil, etc... Let's take a closer look. Today, I wanted to give you my take on a confusing subject to most people: ...why some oils and fats you may use in cooking, baking, or other food use are actually harmful to your body, and why some are healthful. Here's the deal... A lot of people seem to think that anything labeled as "vegetable oil" is good for you. NOT A SHOT! Most of what is labeled as "vegetable oil" is simply heavily refined soybean oil (processed under high heat, pressure, and industrial solvents, such as hexane)... sometimes perhaps it may also be heavily refined cottonseed, safflower, corn, grapeseed, or other oils too. In most instances, almost all of these processed oils are NOT HEALTHY for you.  I'll explain why below... If you buy ...

Which foods do people think are healthy but are actually unhealthy?

Article by Gabrielle Sheehan, www.quora.com I’ve been trying to eat healthier lately, so I’ve actually been doing research in this same issue! I realized because I used to drink the Chobani yogurt smoothies for breakfast because greek yogurt is healthy and these drinks were loaded with protein. It wasn’t until a roommate pointed out how full of sugar these drinks are. Here are some other things I found that are actually not as healthy for you as you would think: Salad dressing from the grocery story. The majority of the time salad is a healthy option but, most of the premade and bottled dressings have a ton of calories. Try mixing up your own simple dressing at home when making salad! Vegan baked goods. This doesn’t apply to all vegan goods, but make sure you are looking at the nutritional facts when you are choosing the vegan option to “be healthy”. Most vegan foods are loaded with tons more sugar and end up being 3X the amount of calories as the non-vegan option. Flavo...

What are the best anti-aging foods?

by Charlotte Cole www.quora.com Tomatoes are so much more than a pretty salad topping. They’re packed with vitamin C, which helps build collagen and, in turn, makes your skin look firmer and plumper. They also have lycopene, which protects your skin from UV damage and improves your vascular system. According to Pace, after six weeks of eating tomatoes regularly, all that extra circulation will give you a noticeable glow. Berries and raspberries are Pace’s top picks. They contain flavonoids, polyphenols, vitamins, probiotics, and tons of antioxidants. “They’re free-radical scavengers,” explains Pace. If you’re concerned with the effect your environment — anything from pollution to elements in your water — is having on your skin, add more berries to your diet. “They can even promote cell regeneration for new skin,” says Pace. Green Tea inorder to keep your skin looking as young as possible for as long as possible, your cells need to regenerate correctly. (Cells that mutate c...

FAT LOSS VS.WEIGHT LOSS

We tend to use the term “weight loss” generally when we go on a diet. And while some are content with simply watching the numbers of the scale go down, it is important that you focus solely on losing fat rather than precious, lean body mass. If you want to simply lose weight…and you don’t care where the weight comes from (body fat, bones, muscle, organs, etc.) then the fastest way to accomplish that is through dietary fasting (not eating anything). Fasting is the fastest way to lose weight…but it comes with a hefty price, up to and including death. After about a day of fasting, your body is getting 80-90% of its energy from its own body fat, which is a very good thing. However, when the body goes several hours without protein (amino acids needed to sustain life), it begins to attack its own protein stores. Sooner or later, lean body mass is attacked to a point where you are unable to move and your organs malfunction, which will later result in your death. The fact is, there are cert...

New Weight Loss Diet System: Lose 21 Pounds In Just 3 Weeks

Following The 3 Week Diet typically results in body fat losses of 3/4 to 1 pound of fat every day. When you add The 3 Week Workout to the diet, fat loss is typically over 1 pound per day. Because of this, you will start to see some nice progress in just a couple of days after starting. In following this diet without deviation, I have yet to find anyone not being able to lose at least 10 pounds in the 21 day period. During my trial of this diet—before ever releasing it publicly—I lost 23 lbs in 21 days. It truly was nothing short of miraculous…and I have been excited to share this breakthrough ever since. The 3 Week Diet is similar to a Protein Sparing Modified Fast, in that we will “trick” the body into entering a 24/7 fat-burning “starvation” mode, while we provide it with the appropriate amount of protein that it needs so that lean body mass is spared…not to mention the added thermic effect of digesting that protein. In addition to carbohydrate restriction and strategic protein c...
