This ergonomic carrier features a unique arched canopy hood that keeps baby in full sight and happily covered. The wide, ergonomic seat supports from knee-to-knee with a naturally rounded back for a safe and comfy ride. Mom and Dad will love this carrier too, with the adjustable shoulder straps and wide waist belt that transfers weight to wearer’s hips for a more comfortable fit.
The unique canopy hood shades little one from the sun without blocking your view. Securely carry infants from 12-40lbs/5.4-20.4kgs. Machine washable.
I wouldn't say I'm a babywearing expert, but I'd classify myself as someone who is at least moderately experienced. I have 4 stretch wraps, a JJCOLE agility, a Mei Tai, a WCMT, seveal slings, and now this. I never thought I'd be a buckle carrier kind of person. I've always been fond of wrapping. But let's face it, wrapping is very time consuming. Comfy, but time consuming.
I actually bought this carrier for my husband. He loves wearing the tiny humans and is willing to wrap (if I pretty much do it for him), but I was hoping to get a carrier that was easier to put on for him. Well, it turns out im obsessed with this one so I'm going to have to get him his own.
The thing about buckle carriers is that while they are adjustable and can be shared between users, getting a good fit requires a lot of tampering with buckles. The first time I put this on I was miserable. I had things rubbing in all the wrong places. But once everything is adjusted just the way you want it, you don't want to have to readjust again. For example, I'm on the shorter side and curvy (to put it nicely), my husband is tall and thin. If he takes my carrier and adjusts it to feel good on him, I'll have to readjust the next time I use it, whereas now all I have to do is slide it over my head, pop baby in, and click, click, click, click. Viola. I don't even unsnap the chest clip (though I use it as a front carrier so...not sure what it would be called).
This carrier is comfy for *at least* a solid 1-2 hours before my shoulders start aching a bit. The number one thing I use this for is shopping. We just switched our little girl from an infant carrier to a big girl, convertible car seat. She's only 5 months old and isn't sitting up on her own yet so being propped up in a shopping cart exhausts her pretty quickly since there's no support. So I just wear her.
It's actually funny, even though I've always loved wearing her, she has never particularly liked being worn, not until this carrier that is. I purchased this more for my toddler so I was surprised to see she liked it.
The hood is really cool. Its removeable. Bonus points. You unsnap it if you want it down, snap it if you want it up. That only bad thing is that there is no way this hood would work for an older child. It would be able to reach. It works great for my baby, but she's very petite. And to anyone wondering about the giant (and very noticeable tag in the hood) I just removed it with a seam ripper. Can't even tell it was ever there. Wish they could have put it in a less obvious place.
