Before Carissa met her French husband and gourmet cook, Chef Gui, she didn’t realize that French women could eat all that bread, cheese, and red wine, and not get fat.
The first summer she spent with him in France, she was amazed at how thin the women were and how they seemed to eat whatever they wanted without any worry.
After spending nearly 3 months living in the French lifestyle, having five-course meals twice a day, complete with dessert and red wine, she was afraid to step on the scale when she got back home.
Much to her surprise she actually lost weight and continued to do so during the length of her marriage. This is what let to Carissa’s impressive body transformation (below) and the creation of her brand new system called French Paleo Burn.
I got chance to talk with Carissa last weekend in Clearwater, Florida and I quickly
found out that she is a smart cookie (pun intended). She’s a registered nurse
practitioner, author, and is also finishing her PhD this year!
After transforming her body using this unique way of eating (and indulging) she
decided to take everything she learned in France and as a weight loss
researcher… EVERYTHING… and document it into a simple, easy-to-follow
weight loss program.
The principles of this French way of eating include:
- High intake of extra-virgin olive oil, vegetables (especially leafy green vegetables), fresh fruits (as snacks or dessert), whole grains (unrefined), legumes, and nuts.
- Moderate intake of fish, seafood, poultry, and dairy (mainly raw cheese and fresh yogurt), and red wine. Low intake of red meat, processed meat, and sweets.
I just looked over her entire system, which is divided into 2 phases.
Here’s how phase 1 works:
• To start the French Paleo Burn diet, you can enter the cycle with a Cheat
Day (eat what you want!) or you can jump straight into Phase 1. It’s up to
you!
• For every week of Phase 1 completed, you will finish that week with a
cheat day.
• Then, you will complete another week of Phase 1, and finish that week
with another cheat day.
• You will continue this cycle until you have reached your goal.
• When your goal is reached, you will enter Phase 2.
• You will follow the week-by-week exercise guide, gently burning fat and
toning your body during the length of the program.
