Hello friends;
Carissa here. Let me know if you can relate to THIS somehow:
My husband (a French chef) told me that growing up in the South of France, his mother would make a dish which I understand is a version of Pot Roast. Only she would choose beef with a lot of thick bones, and cook it in a lot of broth.
Then she would reuse that “bone broth” the next day or even the day after that.
That broth would be rich and nutritious (especially collagen!) because the meat, bones and all, would have cooked in it, along with delicious farm vegetables, and a few spices, including the fragrant clove.
Now, that was in France and sometimes in the 70s (he’s MUCH older than me, he he! J), way before “bone broth” became such a trendy affair.
Now bone broth is a popular superfood.
Even celebrities like Kobe Bryant, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Salma Hayek are all drinking bone broth for its known health benefits.
AND… I hear that New York City hipsters replace their Starbucks cup with a cup of bone broth on their morning commute!
I don’t know if that last part is real or urban legend. What I know is that bone broth is good.
Good to drink and good for you.
It actually makes sense. Bone as an ingredient is as delicious, comforting and healthy as a nice warm bowl of soup? All year round but especially in the winter.
Like chicken soup, it is a very popular remedy for preventing colds as it has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial abilities.
Even with a diet full of vegetables and organic meats like I recommend… Many people just don’t get enough important proteins like collagen that are required to maintain a healthy gut lining, and…
- Reduce inflammation
- Improve your digestion, adrenals, bones, and teeth
- Promote healthy joints, tendons, ligaments
- Improve the function of your immune system
- Reduce wrinkles, banish cellulite, and improve the quality of your skin
Now, you can spend 24+ hours and MAKE your own bone broth like my mother in law…
… Or you can just do what I do: every morning I drink a steaming hot cup of 100% grass-fed bone broth from Kettle & Fire to get the amino acids I need for a healthier gut, and stronger immune system.
Since I’m such a fan, I reached out to them and they emailed me back to offer my most loyal readers a special package!
There’s quite a few brands that make bone broth right now, but the reason I keep recommending Kettle & Fire is because they’re the highest quality bone broth I’ve tried so far.
Unfortunately, most bone broths from the supermarket lack the complete nutritional profile that comes from grass-fed animals -- which is why usually it's recommended that you make it yourself with the leftover bones from your grass fed beef or pasture raised chicken.
But as a busy person, I just don’t have the time to make bone broth at home and I don’t want to sacrifice on quality. Which is why I’m so happy that Kettle & Fire’s bone broth has as much gelatin, the same quality ingredients, and long simmering times as my homemade bone broth.
And with hundreds of 5 star ratings (9,800+ customers), you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better bone broth product than Kettle & Fire.
Yes, Please!
